2013 in Review

I have to say that Twenty-Thirteen was a year full of blessing for our not-so-little family now, there has been Ups and Downs, but I would say that the Ups are more than the Downs side. Let’s throw back some of those moments…

J.A.N.U.A.R.Y.

New Year…New Beginning…New Hopes…New Challenges…. Prior the end of TwentyTwelve, we have a new responsibility in our life. Allah SWT has given us not only one but two beautiful girls, Mayra Alisha and Marsya Alanna. It marks the beginning of our new journey and purposes of life with it also comes new hopes and new challenges. The first challenge was when Alisha had to be hospitalized because of acute diarrhea at the end of January. Luckily we decided to bring her to BWCH which then handles very swiftly, after a huge disappointment by the hospital close to our house which not much of a help.

Approved! Yes after a long wait, the bank has finally approved our application on the loan for housing. One step closer to bring a “new roof” to our family. Alhamdulillah…

Move-Out and Move-In….Allah has answered one of our prays, one of our dream is to build a better house has become reality, March 10^th marks our first night at Ahmad Dahlan 21E. Every each one of us, including the twins, slept soundly that night.

“Surely we belong to God and to Him shall we return”… Our beloved grandmother, Hj. Umron binti H. Tohir, passed away in early May after undergoing intensive treatment for about 10 days. Previously, she was on her way home after Umroh, but the fact that was the real “return trip” for her. “Allahumma firlaha warhamha waafihi wafunaha”

Month of celebration…this year remarks our 7^th year anniversary and my 32^nd born-day however we skip the celebration part this year. One other thing, during this school holiday, Abang Marva runs one of his obligation as a Moslem-Men, circumcision.

No…we don’t have the fourth of July celebration, but on this month, our first born, Marva Athaya, set his foot to a brand new world, yup….the world of Primary School. Mama Dina also celebrated her special day this month. Last but not least, Allah has answered my pray in April, before starting the Holly Month of Ramadhan, I was considered as healthy for work, so I got the Job! Thank you Allah.

It is the month that we fear the most, yup you’ve guessed it right….the month of Lebaran, forget THR! No nanny, no house assistant for at least two weeks time. Can you imagine with three kids to take care of? But….we’ve survived! Yippeee…..

A new beginning for my work-life….after nine years, I finally graduated from this so called “education-institution” which taught me so many things in life, not just from the technical skill but also my soft skills, which surely made huge contribution to my future. Month of birth of the people that we love….we say happy birthday to Marva, Nenek, Teta and Kakek. No fancy birthday celebration for Marva, even though last year we promised him to make this year rather special, however the condition is not in our favor and…he rather have special presents than that fancy party. Once again Great Family Good Pizza…PeHaDe….

N.O.V.E.M.B.E.R.

Yeayyyy…..we’ve made it! The twins’ birthday celebration not only for the twins themselves, but it is a tribute to all those involved and managed to survive during this past year. Surely raising twins is a brand new experience for anyone in our family, but it is not impossible. We are very happy that the twins really understand our situation and does not make our lives more difficult. In fact, they gave us a new colour in the family. Love you girls.

It’s the end of another year….I have to say that TwentyThirteen was very kind to us, so many blessing and full of joy… This month’s Kakek-Nenek were given the opportunity to return to the holy land for Umroh, Mpik Maad also join them. We wish their ibadah run smoothly and can be re-assembled with the family early 2014. Back in Ahmad Dahlan 21E, Aca (Marsya) took her first step while mama Dina on vacation at the hospital.
